Postage & Packing charge: We use a commercial shopping cart (mals-e.com), who send you a formal acknowledgement of your order. This may have incorrect shipping amounts for they can show only one shipping calculation. We have chosen 15% of the product value as the default charge for UK addresses. The minimum charge is £3.00, the maximum (UK) for one parcel £10.00. On receipt of your order, we shall reduce the charge for lightweight items, and charge overseas orders at cost.
Overseas charges: The mals-e.com shopping cart gives the UK default shipping charge. We shall adjust this charge on invoicing. We normally send parcels overseas by air mail, which is untracked, but cheaper. For distant places overseas we are now using tracked couriers, which is about £10 more than airmail for Europe and the USA, but rather more for long distances like Australasia. This has been required because, from the beginning of the year, U.S. Customs has been holding up incoming parcels for 3 to 4 weeks as an increased security practice, whereas courier takes 2 to 5 days. We shall continue to use airmail for most European destinations and Australasia, unless you request tracked courier.
Discounts: For product totals £100 ($160) or over deduct 5%; except 'Low Margin Products'. Our shopping cart can calculate only one discount (the 5%). It cannot ignore the totals of the 'no extra discounts items'. We shall make these adjustments when we receive your order.
